Program Chief Financial Officer

Pete Temple is the divisional chief financial officer for the Gender Equality Division. He leads a team of business and financial professionals who provide financial and strategic planning and analytical support, including conducting due diligence on foundation partners and charitable investments. Pete and his team work alongside program staff and external partners to structure and manage the foundation’s portfolio of investments in gender equality.

Pete joined the foundation in 2013 and held roles in financial planning and analysis in the Operations and Global Health divisions before assuming his current role. Prior to joining the foundation, he spent 11 years at Starbucks, providing financial management and analytical support across corporate, supply chain, and business unit functions. He also spent two years in the Peace Corps, working in economic development in Honduras.

Pete has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary Washington and an MBA from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William & Mary.
