Matshidiso Masire
Matshidiso Masire leads the foundation’s Southern Africa initiatives, with a focus on public health, sustainable development, economic empowerment, and gender equality. With over three decades of experience in social justice and inclusive development, she collaborates with governments, NGOs, and the private sector to address Africa’s key challenges, leveraging her expertise and extensive networks to drive impactful change.
Matshidiso has held leadership roles at prominent organizations, such as the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, Virgin Unite, The Coca-Cola Company, Motorola, and Barclays Bank Botswana, where she oversaw the development and management of global, regional, and country-level initiatives. Her experience includes advising governments on policy development and program implementation, alongside a robust corporate governance portfolio, having served on the boards of publicly listed companies, private enterprises, and nonprofit organizations.
A citizen of Botswana, Matshidiso has a master’s degree in public service management and a bachelor’s degree in international relations.
