Leslie Weston is responsible for developing a cohesive strategy for the foundation’s investments in combating neglected tropical diseases. She was previously the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) team’s deputy director for strategy, planning, and management, focused on business and operations, implementing business processes, and developing new strategies.

Leslie joined the foundation in 2011 in a finance role, primarily supporting the Malaria and NTD teams. In 2016, she joined the NTD team as a program manager, and in 2019 she became its deputy director for strategy, planning, and management.

From 2019 to 2022, Leslie worked as an independent consultant while living in Germany. She then rejoined the NTD team in her previous role.

Leslie has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Armstrong Atlantic State University and an MBA from the University of Washington.
