Leonie Vierck works to improve and expand the fortification of commonly consumed foods—one of the most cost-effective and market-based interventions in the fight against malnutrition. She is particularly concerned with systematically improving delivery: What will motivate millers to fortify their flour? And how can we optimally support public-sector fortification ecosystems?
Leonie has 15 years of experience in international market regulations, particularly relating to food and nutrition security, which has also been the focus of her research. She has worked in corporate sustainability and was team leader for a bilateral donor.
Leonie studied international law and is an alumna of the German National Merit Foundation.
