Elizabeth is a Deputy Director with the K-12 team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She leads the team responsible for strategies and investments to ensure all students, especially Black and Latino student and students experiencing poverty, have access to high quality math learning experiences. Elizabeth joined the foundation in 2022.
Prior to joining the Gates Foundation, Elizabeth was at Pearson Education for 18 years and most recently Vice President of Learning Research and Design in the Efficacy and Learning group. Her experience at Pearson spanned assessment, school improvement, school leader development, product development and solutions for global initiatives. Elizabeth began her career as a middle school and high school ELA teacher in Texas and California and now lives in Austin, Texas with her husband.
