Under-5 mortality is lower than ever before, but the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in major disruptions to health services that threaten to undo decades of hard-won progress. Increasing access to childhood vaccinations, postnatal care, adequate nutrition, and other basic lifesaving interventions is critical to end preventable child deaths.
